BENEFITS OF CERTIFICATION
To be eligible to apply for initial board certification, an applicant must first satisfy the general requirements of the CBMSC.
After applicants are deemed eligible, they must successfully complete a computer-based written exam to earn board certification.
Some of our Member Boards require that candidates also pass an oral exam after successfully completing the written component.
Once granted, certificates from the CBMSC are good for three years, expiring on December 31 of the third year.
